(Marisa G.) What I think about Lena

     Lena is polite active 17 year old who has lost her mother and father.Lena loves to run and be physical but on September 3 she is supposed to be cured. Her mother committed suicide from the disease of love which has caused Lena to hate the smell, sight, and taste of oranges.Lena's best friend is almost exactly like Lena but Hana her best friend is in Lena's words way prettier and more beautiful than Lena.All Lena wants right now is to get her evaluation over with and be cured.But at her evaluation Lena messed up and was not herself at all.To me Lena is active and self-conscientious.
     So far I have learned that Lena loves to run alongside Hana. Lena doesn't like oranges because they remind her of her mother's funeral. Lena really can't wait till her birthday on September 3 this is when she will have the procedure to be cured.She has a little cousin by the name of Grace who just like Lens lost her mother at a young age. For Lena I am stuck in the middle I don't know if I like her or hate her. The reason I say this is because Lena is kind and polite but she is afraid to be herself. At Lena's evaluation she shows this because she starts lying to the evaluators an saying random things to get through it.

    I like, how you included how she is afraid to be herself. Sometimes in the story, if I feel like I really like her, I wonder if she is acting like herself. Do you think that she would be a more likable person if she actually would be herself?

    Great post! I like how you included lots of her likes and dislikes. Sometimes, just things like that can give us insight on what the character is like! I also agree with you that Lena is self conscious.
