Lena is the main character in the book Delirium. I think that Lena's actions tell me about who she is because she makes really safe decisions and always wants to follow the rules most of the time. For example she was really excited and prepared for her evaluation and can't wait to get the disease (love) out of her system and live happily with a husband that was chosen for her. I've learned that her habits, likes and dislikes are pretty different than her friend Hana. Hana is outgoing and confident while Lena is shy and awkward. Hana likes to try new things and by the description of the book, she is really pretty and seems to always be under control. Lena on the other hand thinks that she is not any of the things that Hana is and I think that she needs to stop self-doubting herself and comparing herself to Hana. I feel like Lena will end up becoming confident and end up not comparing herself to Hana.
I like and dislike Lena. I like her because she seems very shy and awkward and seems to talk in detail. Also she seems like the person that you would least expect to do something outrageous but ends up doing it and I hope that it ends up turning out like that. I dislike her because she is always stuck up for the rules and can't wait to have a chosen husband not someone that she actually loves. She also can't wait to not feel love. Isn't that a good thing to feel love? So you don't feel lonely and sad. I feel like she will end up falling in love and not get the "cure" and run away or something like that because it seems like that would be the best way to end this book and start with the next one.
