Conflict in Delirium (Alanna B.)

I believe that one of the main conflicts in Delirium is Man vs. Society. Because the government has made so many rules and declared love as a disease, it is causing a lot of problems. Since parties like the one Hana went to are considered to be illegal, it causes a lot of stress for Lena. She is really afraid that Hana will get in big trouble. If the government, and society, hadn't made things such as this against the law, Lena wouldn't be stressing over so much. There are also things, such as the evaluation, that have caused Lena to freak out. If the government hadn't made having the evaluation required, lots of the conflict that Lena is having in the beginning of the story would not have happened. I think that this will remain to be a big conflict throughout the book, however, I am not sure if they will be able to solve it peacefully.
I also think that another possible conflict for this time is Man vs. Himself. During this point in the book, Lena is having some contradicting thoughts. When you first meet Lena, she is all about following the rules, not lying, and receiving the cure. However, now she has done many things that she resents. For example, she lied to her Aunt Carol about going to Back Cove, and she snuck out of the house. She is has also listened to illegal music and enjoyed it, which is a violation. I think she is battling herself, trying to find out what side she is on, and who she is. I can't wait to find out what she thinks in the end!
