The main conflict in my story is Man Vs. Society. This is because the society is telling people that love is disease, so you can't fall in love with someone. My main character is basically struggling against weather love is good or bad. My main character is basically fighting for the truth about love, and what it causes. My main character is fighting against the society always controlling everything, including her future. The government is trying to take over their minds and basically brainwash them into making the people think what the government wants them to think, which is that love is the worst possible thing that could ever happen to you.
The thing that is holding her back the most from resolving her conflict, and finding out what love really is, is one word: suicide. When my main character was young her mom committed suicide because she was "infected" with love, and didn't want to lose. The main character also expresses her thoughts about love is a bad thing if you don't have it, how people used to be driven to madness because they never found anyone who they could be truly happy with. This point scared my main character, because it made her think that it was dangerous when you had it, and when you didn't. My main character started the book by believing that the cure was the best thing that would ever happen to her. I hope that later in the book she will find love, and I don't think that it will cause more harm to the society, because more people might be inspired to love as well, and it would make people happier.
