What Would I Say To My Main Character? (Georgia)

I would tell Lena to not be afraid to rebel against the rules, and to follow what her heart is telling her to do. She seems to be the only one besides Alex and Hana that realizes that what the government is telling them are lies. Love really isn't a disease, and now she realizes that. The world also needs to realize this, so that's why I would tell her that. I would also tell her that because if she doesn't do anything about it, she would lead a boring life and never get to do what she actually wants to do.

If she got cured, she also would never get to see Alex or feel the same way about him as she did before the procedure. She would lose all of her feelings toward Hana and Gracie as well. She wouldn't have any real friends because all she would know is order. This is affecting everyone in the world, and they need to know that they are following lies.

I think she needs to rebel, because if she doesn't, the world is going to remain the same forever. People need love in their lives. That's how they make friends, and if you have friends, you can be happy. Being alone isn't fun, and if you get the cure, that's what you're going to be. That's what I would say to Lena.

  1. Great Blog post!! I totally agree about to not be afraid. She is finally coming out of her box and being who she wants to be! I feel like she could be the one to stop the government and really change things up.

  2. I agree that she needs to become a rebel and not just become another person to follow the rules that the government made. I also agree that she shouldn't get the procedure or else she will change completely. If she did then the book would just be boring.
