If I had the chance to talk to Lena, I would probably end up getting quite upset. I understand that Alex and her are in love, but that is messing up so much in her life. She can't focus on her future or worry about how her life will be with Brian Scharff. I am upset and scared for her. When the day of her procedure comes, I don't know what she is going to do. I don't know if Lena is going to go through with it and live how they are supposed to live, or if Lena is going to run away to be with Alex. This is frustrating because she doesn't know either and it is making the process that much harder for her to handle.
I would tell Lena that she needs to figure out what she is going to do about everything and that she needs to do it fast. She can't wait until the last day to make up her mind. That would ruin Alex, and if I were her, I wouldn't want to ruin the man I love. I would probably get mad at her for breaking so many rules and getting so close to being caught. I think Lena should think more about what she is going to do and its consequences before she does it. If Alex and her get caught, they would be sent off to the Crypt and probably would be killed. I just want her to think about the consequences of the choices she's making before she decides to do something she could regret.
I am very happy for Lena though, and I would probably tell her that also. I love how Alex and her are together, and that they're breaking the rules. You probably think I'm crazy having opinions on both sides of this problem, but it's hard not to. You love them when they are together and you're mad at them for being together. I want Lena to be happy, but I don't want her, or Alex, to be caught. Part of me hopes she goes through with the procedure, and the other part hopes she stays with Alex and runs away to the Wilds. I really hope Lena makes up her mind sooner rather than later so she doesn't break Alex. She needs to explain her decision to him so that he understands. I am interested to see what will happen between Lena and Alex, and I hope she makes the right decision.
I like that you are completely honest with her and that you support whatever.
ReplyDeleteI agree that she shouldn't just wait until the last day to make up her mind. Do you think that she will get the procedure why or why not? Why do you think that Alex will be mad at her because she's breaking all the rules? If she loves him and he loves her then why shouldn't they break the rules.
ReplyDeleteGreat blog post! You have really great idea's in your first paragraph, but I respectfully disagree. I feel like it is good that she is coming out of her box and being who she wants to be- not who the government wants her to be. Plus if she didn't fall in love with Alex she would never take any chances, and her life would be soooooo boring! I mean think about it, would you rather have Alex or Brian....
ReplyDeleteNice post! I liked some of the points you made, however, I respectfully disagree with you on the subject of love and Alex messing up Lena's life. The government isn't helping the community, and if Lena gives in, then everything that her and Alex have done is pointless and their sacrifices mean nothing. Think about it, what would our world be like if no one gave anyone the courage to stand up?

I respectfully disagree with you about her not taking the life that she is supposed to, because she should have the right to be happy. I don't think that she isn't considering her future life because she is irresponsible, I think that it is because she's scared about it becoming a reality. Other than that, I really like your posts and your opinions!
