The author of our book, Delirium, is Lauren Oliver. Lauren Oliver comes from a family of writers, and has always been an avid reader. Both of her parents are English professors. She attended the University of Chicago, where she majored in philosophy and literature. After she finished collage, she worked briefly as an editorial assistant. She also worked as a assistant editor. Lauren's first book published was Before I Fall.
Lauren Oliver wrote her first novel on a black berry while commuting from her classes on the subway. The story Before I Fall, was sold in less than 48 hours. It seemed like every publisher wanted that story! People say that Lauren Oliver is a hard worker. She says that writing is compulsive for her. She says that she writes every morning, and she writes pretty much every day of the year. I think Lauren Oliver is a fantastic author!
