(Emma V.) My Opinion On Lena

     I think Lena is a great person in this story. I like the way she is cautious and caring. I sometimes wish Lena would let loose and have fun, but she is so scared to get in trouble. I feel like as I continue reading, she is getting more adventurous. So far I have learned that Lena loves to run, and she has a best friend named Hana. Lena feels like when she is with Hana, nobody notices her. The story also says that Lena thinks that she isn't ugly, but she isn't pretty, and that all her life she has just been average. I like how when she met Alex, she was so surprised that he noticed her. It makes Lena seem modest and unaware of her beauty. 

       I think it's sad how their society is so controlled. I don't think love is a bad thing, and I want to know why these people are making people get the surgery, and why they are telling people love is a disease. I feel like Lena is so terrified of getting the disease that she forgets to actually live! I want to know what happens between Hana and Lena because I think that Lena is really scared for Hana. I get excited when Lena does something she isn't supposed to do because I feel like it makes her happy. I'm curious to find out what happens between Alex and Lena. I also want to know what is going to happen to Hana and Lena's friendship. I can't wait to keep reading!
