I believe the main conflict in delirium would be man vs. society. I believe this because she feels towards the middle/ end that love is not bad. Although, the regulators think that love is bad. They banded love because they think that love harms people. They think that because people have committed suicide, or are just really depressed in the past.
Although, I think they are doing more harm buy out ruling love. I think this because they actually kill people that have love or they seriously hurt them. That or they lock them up and starve them, stuff like that. I think it would be a lot simpler if they allow love.
I believe a second conflict would be man vs. man. I think this because she tries to avoid the fact that she loves Alex. She's like beating herself up because she doesn't want to turn out like her mom. Her mom fell in love and they all assume that she died. So she's keeping it all in which is hurting her even more.
