Lauren Oliver (Alanna B.)

The author of Delirium is Lauren Oliver. Lauren Oliver is a resident of Brooklyn, New York and is a full time author. She attended the University of Chicago, and the MFA program at New York University. Some of her books other than Delirium include Before I Fall, Pandemonium, Requiem, Panic, Vanishing Girls, Liesl & Po, The Spindlers, Curiosity House: The Shrunken Head, Rooms, and Absences. Some other books that she has written to go along as extras with Delirium include Delirium Stories, Alex, Hana, Annabel, and Raven.

I think Lauren Oliver chose to write a book like delirium to show the importance of love in our lives. She gives us an experience in a world without love, and makes us realize that we can't take things like love for granted. I also think she wanted to show us that with love, we can overcome anything and win any battle. She shows us this with Alex and Lena. I definitely think that this is a great and effective way for Oliver to get her point across. I can't wait to keep reading!

  2. I like what you said in paragraph 2, I never thought about that before, but I guess it's true that we could take love for granted. I also like the point that love can overcome anything. Keep writing!
