Impressions of My Main Character (Marissa D)

          My main character is Lena, in delirium.  She is always very quiet and self conscious.  She is known to go with the crowd, and follow directions without second thought.  She isn't really rebellious, but didn't object when she followed her friend Hana into the lab complex, knowing that if she got caught she would get into a lot of trouble.  I have noticed a lot in this book that she doesn't like to stand out.  She usually likes to hide behind Hana, and doesn't like to be looked at.  She keeps believing that she is average with her looks, and she thinks about the disease the way other people do, and can't hardly wait till she is cured.  She really has made a point in the book that she is timid to act out in front of people.  

           One thing I really like in this book is how Lena is so observant, she really pays attention to everything that is going on around her.  She has shown to like the beach and sunsets.  She also likes running with her friend Hana. Overall I really like Lena.  I think that she has a lot of good qualities if she would just show them.  I hope that near the end of the book she will stand out and make her own decisions.  I like that Lena is respectful to people, and very thoughtful about everything she does.  I can't wait to read more!
