Blog post #3 - About the Author- Makayla G.

The author of Delirium is Lauren Oliver. She was born on November 8, 1982. She received an award for Goodreads Choice Awards Best Young Adult Fiction.  Her parents were literature professors, which encouraged her to be very imaginative and write stories. She started writing to express the passion she had for books. She wrote a very famous book called "Before I Fall". She also wrote the rest of the Delirium series. She has very many books besides that.

I think that Lauren might of wrote the book fro some different reasons. Maybe she wanted to express how some people think that "love"  is a bad thing. She may not believe that and showing that its not a bad thing to everybody. Another reason is, she wrote it to express her imagination that she had since she was little. She said that ever since she was little she enjoyed reading. She wanted express all that love she had for reading into writing. She is very imaginative.
