I have finished the book. If Lena was part of a high-school clique, she would be that sporty because she loves to run so much that it is her escape from the real world sometimes. Lena always says that she is just an average person, but she is definitely an above average runner. In the book it even talks about her always beating her friend and running partner Hana; and Hana is a good runner.
I think Lena would also be sort of nerdy. The story also talks about her need and want to get good grades, so she can fulfill her dream and get to go to college. Since she wants to go to college so much (at least before she meets Alex) I think that she would be a good student and a little nerdy.
Also, Lena's best friend is Hana who is popular, so I think that Lena would be a little popular, but I don't think that she wasn't popular as in she was close friends with everyone. I think she was only really close friends with Hana, but I still think she was a little popular and just friends (not really close friends, but friends) with most of the people in her class.

Lena in High School
*I have finished the book*
Lena in high school would most definitely be in the sporty category. She runs cross country and has been doing so for a while. She could also be in a popular clique, because she is best friends with Hana. The author describes Hana as someone I would imagine as popular, and since Lena is Hana's best friend, Lena could be considered popular.
I think that Lena would also be a good student. She wouldn't stand out as the best (she said she is average in every way but her height), but she would do okay. She would get A's and B's, turn in most of her work on time, listen in class (most of the time), etc. I think Lena would enjoy school because it gives her a chance to be with her friends and escape her home life for while (considering I would want to escape Jenny too). Lena probably would do well in school because she didn't meet Alex until right before she graduated. She might have been slacking a little bit close to the end, but I bet everyone just thought it was evaluation nerves.
Lena just graduated high school about halfway through the book. She interacted pretty well with the other girls at her school, but only if she wanted to. If Lena didn't like someone, her and Hana often judged that person based on who they thought they were. For example, they judged Allison Doveney as a snooty, rude girl, who's name eventually sort of saved Lena.

Discussion Summary ( Group 5 B )
Spoiler alert! We Finished the book!!
Okay so today during discussion time we talked about a lot! We spoke about how we thought that Lena's mom wasn't in the Wilds were Alex is, and she isn't crazy. We also talked about if we thought that Lena was going to get the cure. We finished the book and in this book she didn't but then when we read the intro to the other book we think that she did. Also we talked about how if we were Hana we would have gone to run away with Lena and Alex. Also we talked about how Rachel, Lena's sister, isn't really trying to help her because they don't care about them really, and so they are just trying to protect themselves. We also talked about how if Lena did get the cure, would it work? We said no because she has that love that her mom gave her and Alex loved her too.

Discussion Summary (group 5c)
*Spoiler Alert: We finished the Book*
Our discussion today was mainly about how we felt about the end of the book. Overall our group agreed that the ending was horrible. We thought that the author should have left a better Cliff hanger that would lead us into the next book.We talked about how we thought Graces big moment to talk was stunning and amazing and how she is one of our favorite characters along with Hana. We also talked about the relationship between the two lovebirds Alex and Lena some of us thought that they kissed to much for the type of book. We also talked about how we plan to enjoy the rest of the series and the many other books tied to Delirium.

(2b) Discussion Summary
We all think being with Alex makes Lena happy. We also all believe that Lena will run away, so she doesn't have to get the procedure. Our group isn't quite sure when Gracie will talk, but we think she will eventually. I think we would all be confused if we were in Lena's shoes, and we all think that Alex is good for Lena. Our book Delirium, makes us all scared and happy at the same time. We all rated this book very high on the scale, and we all plan on reading the next book in the trilogy. We all love how Hana sticks up for Lena, and if we were in Lena's shoes, we would all love Alex.

Character Conversation (Alanna B.)
If I could talk to my main character I would probably say "Lena, I am so sorry that this has happened to you. I know you're scared. I know you don't know where Alex is, but it is going to be okay. You cannot stop fighting this, you have to keep trying. Keep your cool and don't let them know that you are probably going to resist, just act like you are happy that they "helped" you. I know you can get out of this. Don't give up."
I chose to say this because I think it is very important that Lena doesn't give up at this point. If she gives up now, then everything her and Alex did would be pointless. I also wanted to include some "strategic warfare" in their, like pretending that she is happy, so that it will be easier for Lena to escape. I really wanted to say this to her like this because the choppiness makes it more intense. I would hope that Lena would take it more seriously that way because she really needs to realize that this situation has to be executed very seriously if she wants to get out of her house.
I also would say things such as "I know you're scared." and "I am so sorry..." to show sympathy and compassion for Lena. In scary times like these, people just need someone to tell them that it will be okay. Lena needs some sort of reassurance to help her through this tough situation, something to give her hope. I REALLY like this book, and I can't wait to see what Lena does next! I really hope Lena can find her way through this tough situation!

Lena( Emma H.)
LENA
Lena why are you so mean to Alex he is just trying to help you. You always question his relationship like if he loves you or if he even cares about you? Another thing why are you so unsure about your decisions like when you first met Alex you were very unsure, but then suddenly felt safe? How come you are so afraid of being an invalid and if you are afraid why don't you talk to Alex about it. One last thing what has made you come out of your shell? Alex, Hana, You?
The reason I would ask these things are simple, for one its because of all your actions and how you act. Another question how is your cousin doing you never seem to talk about her anymore? Also why do you never talk about your mom, is the topic too sad? What I guess I am trying to say is that I have a lot of questions and sometimes I just get plain mad at you. It isn't that I don't like you I just sometimes don't agree with your actions.
Overall Lena you are a quiet girl, but not afraid to be loud around friends, which kinda confuses me. How come you are always unsure of yourself and kinda shy? Why do you get so mad at Alex? Are you really sure it is a good idea to go into the wilds? How many times will it take for you to finally trust Alex?
